Rising to the Challenge: RDS Conquers Race the Sun

Race the Sun South Downs is a formidable triple-challenge event that sees teams bike, hike, and paddle across the iconic Seven Sisters coastline to raise vital funds for Action Medical Research. At RDS, we were eager to test our mettle against the elements and support such a fantastic cause, pushing our limits from sunrise to sunset.

We are incredibly proud of the eight RDS team members who took on the challenge this past Saturday. Our four teams showed fantastic spirit and determination throughout the day:

  1. Black Team: Scott and Liam
  2. White Team: Kevin and Michelle
  3. Blue Team: Karl and Finlay
  4. Grey Team: Johnny and Sean

It was a monumental team effort across the 31-mile cycle, 10-mile hike, and 2-mile paddle. Every single person gave it their all, and we are thrilled to share that the teams completed the course in just over 7 hours!

Even more impressive is the impact they’ve made off the course. Together, they have raised a staggering £5,067 for Action Medical Research. A special shout-out must go to Johnny and Karl for their exceptional individual fundraising efforts - your dedication to the cause is truly inspiring.
