Meet the Team: Johnny Hung, Business Development Manager

We’re thrilled to welcome Johnny Hung to the RDS family as our new Business Development Manager for the South West, Wales, and Ireland. With an impressive 22 years of experience in customer-facing sales roles, Johnny brings a wealth of expertise in account management and new business development to help drive RDS’s growth in this exciting new chapter.

Why RDS? After seven years running his own consultancy with global clients, Johnny was ready to dive back into the corporate world. The timing couldn’t have been better—RDS’s ambitious growth plans and fresh management strategy under Volex’s leadership were a perfect match for his drive and vision. “I knew I wanted to be part of that journey,” Johnny says, eager to contribute to the company’s bright future.

What’s on the Horizon? As a new starter, Johnny is still getting acquainted with RDS’s projects but is already buzzing with excitement about upcoming opportunities in innovative display solutions. “Watch this space!” he teases, hinting at big things to come.

His ability to connect with key decision-makers and navigate diverse industries positions him to bring fresh clients and opportunities to RDS. Professional Growth: Never one to shy away from a challenge, Johnny recently embraced learning Hubspot as a new CRM system in his previous role, showcasing his commitment to continuous growth. “I’m always learning and interested in pushing myself,” he shares.

Fun Fact: Here’s something you might not expect: Johnny grew up on a farm and can commercially operate tractors and forklifts—a unique skill set for a Business Development Manager!

Outside the Office: When he’s not forging new client relationships, Johnny’s likely tackling DIY projects, fitting a bathroom (he’s a skilled plumber!), or unwinding in the kitchen with some baking or cooking.
