Industrial Pointing DevicesOptical Trackballs - An optical trackball uses solid state Optical Navigation Technology in place of the traditional mechanical assembly of conventional trackballs. The only moving part in the entire assembly is the ball, whose movement is sensed directly without the need for shafts, separate encoders and opto-couplers. Available in 38 or 50 mm trackball sizes, and 3 versions.
- Free running ball; minimal ball tracking force (10 grams).
- Fixed friction / scraper ring; slightly increased ball tracking force (approx. 80 grams).
- Variable friction ring with removable ball
- ball tracking force can be set from loose (10 grams) to high (120 grams) in 4 steps for the O50 or with continuous adjustment for the O38 ; ball can be removed.
Trackball Modules - The ball sits on two freely rotating stainless steel shafts with optical encoder discs (rotors). Each rotor rotates in double opto-couplers X1, X2 & Y1,Y2 phase quadrature output.
Trackball and Touchpad units - These IP65 units are available in an enclosure or for surface mounting.
Vandalproof & Waterproof Stainless Steel units - This range is highly robust and designed for harsh industrial applications, kiosk consoles, internet terminals, navigation controls, food industry, etc… These panel mount units feature a vandalproof construction and all metal look; the carrier plate made of brushed stainless steel, a stainless steel ring protecting the trackball sealing and three anti-vandal stainless steel switches.
Dimensions for all units: 100 x 116 x 40 mm
Desktop Trackballs - These are professional desktop trackballs housed in strong ABS enclosures. They have free running (unsealed), large balls of 57 or 63 mm and therefore feature a precise and accurate pointer control. Fields of application are in various general office or CAD/CAM use or in clean industrial areas.
